When Emily contacted me about booking a boudoir session, she told me she was getting married & wanted the perfect wedding gift. UM YES PLEASE. These sessions make the BEST gifts for your fiancé. So we quickly got her scheduled on my calendar, and made sure she had enough time to get her album for the big day.
This Summer I actually had a LOT of brides coming into the studio for bridal boudoir experiences. I loved it! I know it can be really tricky to figure out what to get your partner for a wedding gift that is both authentic and not cheesy…and a spicy album of YOU checks all the boxes.
I always recommend my brides make sure they have enough time to shoot and then order their album. I’d say no less than two months in advance – but 3-6 is even better.
While brides usually book for a wedding gift, what I find is that once they’re in the studio it also becomes all about their experience too. And that’s a good thing. Who says you can’t create a thoughtful gift AND it be an empowering experience for you?! I love watching the confidence transformation in the studio – never gets old.
For this session, Emily wore 3 different sets of lingerie! We started with a traditional white lace bride-vibe set. Sometimes the most classic, simple sets are the BEST. After that she changed into a black sheer babydoll chemise which was perfect for our couch shots. Her last set of lingerie was a pale lavender purple, with lots of straps. Perfect combo of spicy & sweet!
And of course we wrapped up the session with just the sheet! Always love to get some with the sheets because it really rounds out the album perfectly (not to mention everyone always looks AMAZE in those shots!)
