When you have a 4th time return client in your studio, you just feel so. damn. lucky. to do what you do.
This client has been to my studio four times in the past, and every time we’ve created something magical and unique. There is something about the evolution of watching yourself change in front of the lens. I love that she has different galleries and albums to look back on for the years to come.
It was her birthday, and they knew that THIS experience would be the perfect gift. So they reached out to me, and we booked a birthday session for her.
We started off using a warm candlelight feel in the studio. If you know me at all, you know I love my studio lighting. We can create such inspired vibes. My client wore a sheer black bodysuit for this set, which was the perfect mood. We got all the warm, golden, moody images, and then we switched gears.
She put on a lace sheer top with a ruffle edge on the top and a classic thong. I’m becoming more and more a fan of the cozy, non-lingerie options as a Minneapolis boudoir photographer. I mean, I love a classic sexy black set as much as the next. But something about the lived-in feel of those alternative outfits just gets me every time. I loved the natural light from my big studio window for this set. Made it feel like a sultry Saturday morning at home.
We then pivoted to a silk jammies set. You can’t tell me lounging on the bed in a white silk two piece isn’t sexy as hell. Yes please! Next we swapped for a Lounge thong and topless look. Another classic “I’m at home, leave me alone” vibe. Sultry as f*ck.
My 4th time return client also let me get out my film camera and play around with some film shots in the studio. I’ve had such fun with this new hobby of mine, and I made sure to include the scans in her gallery (see at the bottom of the pictures). Which do you like better? Film or digital?
Every time someone repeats another shoot or flies to my studio from across the country – I have to pinch myself that THIS is my job. But truly, this is my favorite thing I’ve ever done. I’ll never stop creating. Never stop showing women how amazing they are.
