This client reached out months ago to scheduler her sultry in-home session, and I was so excited when the day finally arrived! She had recently moved into a new home and wanted to do her boudoir photos in her space. I’ve been so happy offering Creative Sessions now, and I jumped at the chance to photograph her in her home.
We started shooting in the afternoon, when we had plenty of light streaming in her large windows. She had sent me photos of her space beforehand, and so I already had shots in mind before I even arrived. The weather was freezing outside, but we still got alllll those warm, cozy vibes indoors.
For her first outfit, we went with a crop white pullover hoodie with a matching Calvin Klein set and tall Adidas socks. I have photographed some variation of this Calvin Klein set over and over and over… it never gets old. It’s a CLASSIC. And there are so many ways to style it. I loved what this client chose. It perfectly matched that sultry in-home session vibe. Like she was just captured lying around her house on a slow Saturday morning. This is becoming a new favorite vibe for me as a Minneapolis boudoir photographer. I love the lived-in, lazy weekend look. Hair down, simple makeup and non-lingerie options for outfits.
Don’t get me wrong, of course I’ll always have a soft spot for my sexy lingerie killer-vibes looks. But this subtle power, warm and real vibe are my inspiration right now.
Her second outfit was a lace bodysuit, and we photographed her in her bedroom for this look. Lastly, we pivoted to her large black bathtub for some documentary-style boudoir pictures, climbing into a bubble bath. (Even her cat got curious and considered the bath haha) I was absolutely obsessed with the lighting in the bathroom and could have done a whole sultry in-home shoot right there!
You’ll notice that none of these images show my client’s face, and that’s because she chose an anonymous photo release. I can share her images, but not her face. I love this happy-medium for anyone who wants boudoir photos and would love to show them off but can’t for any reason. Maybe it’s your job or just that you’re a private person. Or just a preference! (You don’t need a reason). You can show off your photos and still remain anon.
What do you think? Would you book a sultry in-home session?
