I know that Tiktok gets overlooked a LOT for photographers, but I have been able to connect with some of the coolest people on there! This North Dakota bride was one of them! Social media brought her all the way to me here in Minneapolis. I’m always so honored when people hop on a plane or drive in their cars to come to my boudoir studio. I love that my work speaks to you, and you want to be captured by my perspective. No higher honor as a boudoir photographer!

Anyway!! This client was scrolling for local photographers, hoping to find someone with a warm, relaxed style that didn’t feel overly posed or too intense. But nothing nearby felt like her. Boudoir is such a personal experience — you deserve to feel completely seen, supported, and celebrated. So when she found my page, saw some behind-the-scenes peeks, and read stories from past clients, something just clicked. (Pun intended 😉

Of course, she was a little nervous! That’s super normal when booking a boudoir session, much less when you’re a North Dakota bride traveling in for your session.

But as we met up, and walked into the studio together, the nerves started melting away. We went over outfits and lingerie. Talked about posing and her vision. This session quickly became more than just photos for her fiancé — it was a full-on confidence reset for her.

Mission = accomplished!

Her entire session felt like we were creating something just for her. Whenever I’m in my studio, camera in hand- it is all about building an experience that felt authentic and real — no pressure, no performative posing, just vibes and celebration. That’s why I gravitate towards not just sexy lingerie, but cozy looks too. Whatever feels like YOU.

And, to take her self-love journey a step further, she made this weekend into a little solo getaway to the twin cities. She took the chance to reconnect with her body at our session, feel beautiful in this season of life, and mark the moment before stepping into her next chapter. Of course, I recommended all my favorite restaurants and things to do – and she had a wonderful time.

This is your reminder: you don’t need to have someone local to make magic. You just need someone who gets it — someone who makes you feel safe, empowered, and truly seen. Whether you’re driving across town or crossing state lines, the right photographer (and the right experience) is always worth it.
