Now you’re looking for ways to personalize your bridal boudoir session?
As a Minneapolis boudoir photographer, I am a big fan of making your session yours. Whether you’re going for soft and romantic or bold and unexpected, adding personal touches is what turns beautiful images into a meaningful experience for both you and your partner.
This featured session had the best energy. My client brought a handful of looks that totally captured her personality: from a vibrant hot pink bodysuit (obsessed) to a silky dusty pink piece, and a classic white set that gave us those timeless bridal vibes. Of course, we ended the session with just the sheets. This look is a client favorite for good reason! Every part of her shoot felt like her. Fun, flirty, confident, and full of intention. She’s fully in her bridal era!
And, she’s already planning another session for her one-year anniversary. That’s the magic of boudoir. These experiences are kind of addictive.
You can totally lean into classic bridal colors (ivory, white, soft blues) or you can break the mold and wear something unexpected. Think hot pink, bold red, champagne, or deep jewel tones. The client chose multiple shades of pink to compliment her white set, and it was such a fun twist on tradition. Whatever you choose, your color palette is a beautiful way to express your personality as a bride.
Little details from your wedding can make a big impact in your session. Maybe it’s a type of flower that’ll be in your bouquet. Maybe it’s your veil or your engagement ring. Including these elements helps your boudoir gallery feel even more unique and personal to you.
This is such a sweet way to surprise your person on your wedding day. One of my favorite recent ideas was from this session below. She secretly borrowed her fiancé’s Rolex (that he’s obsessed with) and we worked it into a few intimate shots. Just imagine his face flipping through the album and seeing something so special reflected in the images.
Whether it’s their favorite button-up, their team’s jersey, or a signature cologne bottle, adding a personal touch like this makes the session even more meaningful.
And if you’re ready to personalize your bridal boudoir session, I’d be honored to help you bring it to life. Your shoot should feel like the most confident, radiant version of you… and if that means bringing a hot pink bodysuit and your fiancé’s favorite watch? Let’s do it.
