I know that boudoir, more than almost any other kind of photography, is an intimate subject. It’s a vulnerable and bold thing to do. And as your Minneapolis boudoir photographer, it’s my responsibility to protect your privacy and hold space for your comfort level. And I’m allllll about that.

That is why I have a model release for my clients!

What is a model release? It is a way to officially (and legally) say if you want your images shared, or not. It allows you to know without a shadow of a doubt that your comfort level around images being shared will be respected before you ever step foot in the studio.

So whether you feel empowered by sharing your images fully, or feel empowered by keeping them private: there’s no wrong choice!

But there is an “in-between” choice I also want to make sure you know about too:

Anonymous images!

Okay but what does that mean? This is a popular choice with my clients who are so excited about their intimate portrait session, but don’t want their images traced back to them online. There are a million valid reasons to keep your images more private, from the nature of your job to personal preference. All are valid! But anonymous images allow you to see your images online, without anyone knowing they are you!

Basically, I choose the images without identifying features and only share those from your session. It’s a fun way to show off your lingerie or favorite poses, but keep some privacy so no one knows it’s you! Below are examples from anonymous model release forms, if you want to get an idea of that option.

But no matter what privacy level feels good to you, please know I support you 100%. There’s no pressure from me to share your photos – as your boudoir photographer my top priority is that you feel comfortable, safe & empowered.
