First thing first – you HAVE to know that boudoir photography is soooo much more than what you are wearing. The fancy lingerie, the props or accessories. YOU are more than what you are wearing. Boudoir photography is about capturing YOU, your personality, and all that makes you beautiful. Embracing the casual, everyday looks, will help you feel more relaxed and at ease, which can translate to those genuine, raw, candid moments.

Choose Comfort

Instead of satin, lace, or silk, let’s go for comfort. Cotton, bamboo, all the things. They are soft on your skin, comfortable to wear, relaxed, and have a spicy casual elegance about them, right?! Think – your favorite cotton cozy set, loungewear, oversized “boyfriend” sweater, or this popular SKIMS dress. SO GOOD!

Embrace Just the Sheet

Sometimes, less is more. And with a more casual, everyday look, that couldn’t be more true! Don’t hesitate to ditch the clothes altogether and opt for just the sheet. Whether it’s wrapping yourself in perfectly draped linen or playfully laying beneath the covers, embracing just the sheet allows for raw, candid moments that are all things sensual and intimate.
