In a nutshell: a studio session takes place in my NE Minneapolis studio (like this shoot here), and a creative session is anywhere else! (Think: an outdoor session, in another studio, a cabin, your home, a pretty airbnb, etc)
Back when I first started shooting boudoir, I knew I wanted to create a safe, inclusive studio space for my clients. I knew what it was like to learn to love my body through different seasons and changes, and I wanted to make sure I had an intentional space for my clients to do the same.
If you fast forward over the last few years, that little white studio has seen hundreds of people and heard their stories. It’s been an amazing place to grow and house this business I’ve built.
But another thing happened as I’ve expanded is that I’ve grown as an artist: I found myself craving more environments (don’t get me wrong, I’m still very much in love with my studio). But I started testing new locations/vibes/looks. I started hosting FEYRE, a workshop for other boudoir photographers, and challenging myself to create the same inclusive environment: anywhere.
So I have been shooting and shooting. I love sinking into the familiarity in the studio and creating a powerful experience there. And I ALSO love heading out to the pool or being welcomed into your home, finding an Airbnb with that *chef’s kiss* lighting – and capturing you there. It’s been fun to explore this new side of photography.
So now I include BOTH options to all my clients. Here’s the main core differences you need to know before you book:
– includes a client closet
– are hosted at my NE Minneapolis studio
– approx. 3 outfits changes
– includes a nude/sheet set
– includes an in-person assistant to help
– include a creative Zoom call to brainstorm the vision for the session
– travel fee included up to 60 miles (further distances can be arranged with a travel fee)
– approx. 3 outfits changes
– includes a nude/sheet set
