I’m obsessed with this tattoo boudoir shoot with Penny! She’s an incredible model, and am so glad to share it with you here on the blog!! I’ve posted a few shots on social media but there’s something so much better about seeing the whole set in blog form.
We started this shoot right before sunset. My studio has west facing windows, so the sun sets directly through them which is so freaking beautiful. We get this beautiful golden sunlight peaking through the windows and just illuminatinggg the subject. Just a ton of fun to work with this lighting.
But honestly, we planned this shoot specifically for sunset, so that when the sun was all the way down we could play around with the strobe lights in the studio. I’m loving using these lights more and more and am hoping to incorporate them in a lot more sessions. I was so glad Penny trusted my vision because we got some really cool shots in this shoot. Also I will never know how she squats that low in heels, but consider me impressed. Scroll to the bottom to see what I mean.
Also, I’ve had so many photographers asking me about the lights on Instagram, and the attachment is called a snoot attachment and it goes right on the strobe lights. You can see another shoot I used it for here.
You’re gonna love this tattoo boudoir session with Penny. I could shoot with her annnnny day!
