Something you’ll see me talk about on my Instagram is a Client Closet! As a Minneapolis boudoir photographer, I want to provide the most inclusive and accessible experience possible. And part of that is providing outfit options available to anyone booking a shoot with me.

Back in 2021 I decided to start growing a client closet. It’s important to me to have high quality pieces with diversity in sizes. So I’ve been picky as I’ve grown it and been slowly adding throughout 2022.

It’s still a work in progress and something I hope to see filled out by 2023, but in the meantime my client’s still have access to the pieces for their intimate portrait sessions!

So what is a client closet?

I purchase lingerie and other looks for my clients, and they stay at the studio! They are available to anyone who books a shoot with me, to make the process as smooth as possible. My goal is to have every size, in lots of styles, that look good on camera.

That means I don’t have a lot of flowy-teddy-nightgown type pieces, because they tend to not photograph well. But I gravitate towards two piece sets, garters, harnesses, and bodysuits. Those look amazing on everyone and in pictures!

I often get asked…

Is it washed between uses?

YES. Not only are all the pieces washed, the studio and bedding are sanitized too. So everything is perfectly fresh for every shoot. Also worth noting: these lingerie pieces are on for a brief amount of time. It’s not like sharing normal lingerie, haha.

What styles do you have?

I have a variety of styles! Like I mentioned, I stick to pieces I know will photograph well with my poses, lighting and style. But I know everyone has different preferences, so I am building a client closet with variety of styles and diversity in sizes too!

Can I still bring my own?

Absolutely! The closet is there as an option, but it’s a complimentary part of your shoot! If you prefer to go shopping at Victoria Secret or Lounge (or wherever your fav lingerie is!) – treat yourself!! If you choose to use the closet for your shoot, or supplement your own outfits with pieces from the closet – that is also available!
